Mortgage interest overcharges are being investigated by Tripp Levy PLLC, according to an announcement. A lawsuit was filed by the Illinois attorney general Hartland Mortgage Centers, a news release said. At issue are alleged advertising practices for reverse mortgage programs. The Federal Trade Commission and Gateway Funding Diversified Mortgage Services LP agreed to settle charges that it failed to create an effective Fair Lending monitoring program outlined in prior settlement.
