2010’s Bank Casualties Reach 68

The Florida Office of Financial Regulation seized The Bank of Bonifay and appointed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation receiver.

In addition, Access Bank was seized by the Minnesota Department of Commerce.

Including two other bank failures last week, 68 banks that were insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation have failed during 2010.
